Production Department (Code 900)

 

Mission

Provide skilled and qualified personnel and sufficient equipment, material and infrastructure necessary to sustain high quality ship maintenance and modernization operations in a safe working environment.

What We Do

 

Production Officer (Code 900)

 

  • Reports to the commanding officer for the organization, administration and supervision of the Production Department.

 

Deputy Production Officer (Code 900D)

  • Reports to the production officer for the daily management and oversight of the production department and is responsible for manpower, capabilities, and audits, surveillances and evaluations.

 

Boiler/Fittings Group (Code 910B)

  • Boiler Shop (Shop 41) – repairs and maintains propulsion boilers, heat exchangers and intakes/uptakes for gas turbine engines.
  • Pipefitting Shop (Shop 56) – cleans, repairs, assembles and replaces various piping systems and flex hoses.
  • Insulation Shop (Shop 57) – re-bricks inside propulsion boiler furnaces, repairs and replaces insulation on bulkhead, piping and so on, applies powder coating and provides embroidery work.

 

Electric/Electronics Group (Code 910E)

  • Electrical Shop (Shop 51) – overhauls, repairs and calibrates electrical equipment and control systems.
  • Electronics & Weapons Shop (Shop 67) – installs, overhauls, maintains, repairs and calibrates communications and radar equipment and weapons systems.

 

Hull Group (Code 910H)

  • Shipfitter Shop (Shop 11) – fabricates, installs and repairs shipboard structural members, watertight doors, hatches, scuttles and rail equipment.
  • Sheetmetal Shop (Shop 17) – fabricates, installs and repairs all shipboard sheetmetal items (less than 1/8 inch thick).
  • Welding Shop (Shop 26) – provides shipboard cutting, burning, annealing and welding.

 

Machinery Group (Code 910M)

  • Machinist Shop (Shop 31) – fabricates, repairs and finishes shafts, pump, propellers, turbine rotor and machinery parts.
    • Authorized facility for functionally testing Scott Self-Contained Breathing Apparatuses (SCBA).
    • Authorized by Department of Transportation as a hydro-testing facility for air, nitrogen gas, carbon dioxide and bottles.
  • Machine Shop (Shop 38) – overhauls and repairs main and auxiliary machinery (i.e. as propulsion shafting, bearings, propellers, rudders, steam turbine, main reduction gears and others) and mechanical components of various ordnance plants and service equipment (e.g. radar masts, torpedo tube, store elevator, winch, crane and others).
  • Marine Internal Combusion Engine, Air Condition and Refrigeration Shop (Shop 37) – overhauls and repairs MPDEs, SSDGs, various motor driven pumps, refrigeration plants, air conditioning systems, gallery equipment, carbon dioxide charging and others.

 

Services Group (Code 910S)

  • Carpenter Shop (Shop 68) – Completes woodwork, plastic repairs, scaffolding, composite patch, rubber and Mk 6, 7 and 8 repairs.
  • Paint Shop (Shop 71) – Maintains surface preparation, painting and cleaning and floor covering.
  • Temporary Services Shop (Shop 99) – Connects all shipboard utilities, ventilation, CASCON, gas-free cleaning and nitrogen charging.

 

Production Resources Support Division (Code 930)

  • Provides centralized tools and equipment, personal protective equipment, metrics development, safety services (e.g. fire watch), technical translation and interpretation services, apprentice program support, knowledge retention transfer trainings, and other production shop support functions.

 

Physical Infrastructure Management Division (Code 980)

  • Supports real-property facilities, dry docks, long-term offsite storage, space management, Industrial Plant Equipment (IPE) and other physical infrastructure requirements.
  • Manages Other Procurement Navy (OPN) funds planning and execution, Military Construction (MILCON) programming, Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) project programming and execution, IPE procurement, Dry Dock Certification maintenance and oversight, Property Management and Accountable Property Officer (APO) functions for Yokosuka and Detachments Sasebo and Singapore.
  • Long-range and emergent support for all SRF infrastructure requirements.
  • Temporary structure management.
  • Production Operation (Shop 07) – Provides port services, dry dock maintenance, and high quality water.
  • Equipment Maintenance (Shop 08) – Provides maintenance, life-cycle management and repair of IPE.

 

SRF-JRMC Calibration Activity Program Office (Code 970)

  • Manages Metrology and Calibration (METCAL) program to include Yokosuka and Sasebo laboratories, Shipboard Instrumentation and Systems Calibration (SISCAL), NAVSEA Fleet Calibration Activity (FCA) certification program, Fleet regional loan pool, RADIAC storefront and METCAL quality assurance.
  • Calibration Shop (Shop 52) – Calibrates and repairs portable and installed electronic, electrical and mechanical test measurement and diagnostic equipment.

プロダクション本部長 (Code 900)

 

  • 司令官の直属で、プロダクション本部の組織や管理監督に責任を持つ。

 

プロダクション副本部長 (Code 900D)

  • プロダクション本部長の直属で、プロダクション本部の日々の管理、監督業務を行い、また人的資源や作業能力、監査、調査、評価に責任を持つ。

 

ボイラー／フィッティング　グループ (Code 910B)

  • 製缶工場 (Shop 41) 　－　艦船の推進用ボイラー，補助ボイラー，その他各種高圧容器，凝縮器，冷却器，蒸発器，熱交換器等の組立て，整備，設置，修理を行う。これら
                                               の装置を化学薬品，機械的洗浄により清掃し処理する。ガスタービン、ディーゼルエンジン等吸気管及び煙突内部の制作，修理，整備も行う。
  • 配管工場 (Shop 56) 　－　船舶のあらゆる種類(例えば、低圧／高圧空気、蒸気、真水、海水、消火装置及び燃料等)の配管作業を作業指示書に従って行う。接続金物及び、
                                               ホースを使用して、製作、修理、組み立て、取り付け、洗浄、及びテストを行う。船舶の各種配管接続を、銀蝋付けを用いて取り付ける。
                                               油圧及び、潤滑油系統の浄化作業を行う。
  • 防熱工場 (Shop 57) 　－　レンガ、ブロック等を使用し艦船の蒸気ボイラー炉内等の建造、整備修理作業等を行う。耐熱素材を使ってパイプ、ダクト、バルブ、タンク、
                                               タービン、蒸留装置、冷凍装置、天井、壁等の表面を被覆し断熱する。　

 

電気工場グループ (Code 910E)

  • 電気工場 (Shop 51) 　－　電気装置や制御システムのオーバーホール、修理、校正。
  • 無線工場 (Shop 67) 　－　通信装置やレーダー装置、武器システムの設置、オーバーホール、保守、修理、校正。

 

船体工場グループ (Code 910H)

  • 船殻工場 (Shop 11) 　－　艦船構造部材、水密扉、ハッチ、スカットル、レール装置の加工、設置、修理。
  • 板金工場 (Shop 17) 　－　艦船のあらゆる板金（厚さ1/8インチ未満）の加工、設置、修理。
  • 溶接工場 (Shop 26) 　－　切断、放電加工、焼きなまし、溶接。

 

機械工場グループ (Code 910M)

  • 機械工場 (Shop 31) 　－　シャフト、ポンプ、プロペラ、タービン・ローター、機械部品の加工、修理、仕上げ加工。
    • Scott社製自給式呼吸装置（SCBA）の機能試験実施施設として認定を受けている。
    • エア、窒素ガス、二酸化炭素、ボトルの静圧試験施設として米国運輸省認定を受けている。
  • 外業仕上げ機械工場 (Shop 38) 　－　主副機械装置（推進シャフト、ベアリング、プロペラ、ラダー、スチームタービン、主減速機など）、および武器プラントやサービス装置各種（レーダーマスト、魚雷管、貯蔵庫エレベーター、ウィンチ、クレーンなど）のオーバーホール、修理。
  • 内燃機関工場 (Shop 37) 　－　主推進ディーゼルエンジン、艦船ディーゼルジェネレータ、モーター駆動ポンプ各種、冷蔵プラント、空調システム、厨房設備のオーバーホールや修理、二酸化炭素の充填など。

 

サービス工場グループ (Code 910S)

  • 木工工場 (Shop 68) 　－　木工作業、プラスチック製品の修理、足場設置・解体、複合材パッチ、ゴム製品、Mk 6、Mk 7、Mk 8の修理。
  • 塗装工場 (Shop 71) 　－　塗装表面の準備、塗装、クリーニング、床材の保守。
  • サービス工場 (Shop 99) 　－　艦船のユーティリティや換気装置の設置、CASCON、ガスフリー・クリーニング、窒素充填

 

造修支援部 (Code 930)

  • 工具や装置、安全保護具の一括管理、還元系表の作成、安全サービス業務（ファイアウォッチ（火の番）など）、技術翻訳・通訳業務、訓練生プログラムの支援、知識維持訓練、その他の工場支援業務。

 

部隊支援施設管理部 (Code 980)

  • 不動産、ドライドック、長期保管倉庫、スペース管理、産業プラント機器(IPE)、他の施設に関する要請のサポート。
  • 横須賀、佐世保及びシンガポールの軍需品調達の計画と購入、防衛施設事業の計画、維持、修繕及び近代化の計画と施工、IPEの調達、ドライドック認証維持と管理、財産管理、財産担当官の業務などのサポート。
  • すべてのSRFの施設設備の長期及び緊急サポート要請への対応。
  • 仮設施設の管理。
  • プロダクション業務(ショップ 07) ) – 港湾給水電力供給作業、ドライドックのメンテナンス、純水装置の業務提供。
  • 機器メンテナンス(ショップ 08) – IPE のメンテナンス、ライフサイクル管理、IPEの修理の業務提供。

 

SRF-JRMC艦隊機器校正プログラム室（コード970）

  • 艦隊機器校正（METCAL）プログラムは横須賀と佐世保のラボ、艦載計器及びシステム校正（SISCAL）、NAVSEA校正アクティビティー（FCA）認証プログラム、フリート・リージョナル・ローン・プール、RADIACストアフロント、及びMETCAL品質保証の管理を含む。
  • 計測機器校正工場（ショップ52） - ポータブル及び設置型の電子・電気及び機械試験計測・診断機器の校正と修理。
